Therapy
Working together, using the therapeutic relationship, support, positive psychology and unconditional positive regard, we will create a vault in which to explore patterns, gain strength, receive validation and make lasting changes.
Individual therapy begins with an initial session during which we will discuss background and history, issues and barriers as well as goals and internal resources that will support your efforts.
Subsequent sessions will focus on client’s chosen area of focus, establishment of unique coping strategies and therapist feedback and validation.
Frequency of sessions and length of therapy varies depending on client and areas of focus.
Sessions are available virtually or in equine-assisted psychotherapy.
Maura is considered OUT OF NETWORK for insurance purposes. Detailed statements are available to allow clients to submit to their insurance provider for reimbursement. Clients are responsible to connect with their insurance provider to better understand the possibility of insurance reimbursement.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) takes place at one of two beautiful barns in either Perkasie or Newtown Square. Using the horse as a team member, clients are able to work through various issues including trauma, substance use issues, mood disorders, family issues and attachment concerns.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is a therapeutic approach that integrates the gentle strength of horses with expert psychological care. EAP provides a unique and effective way to address mental health and emotional challenges, fostering personal growth and healing through the profound bond between humans and horses.
Clinical Supervision
Collaboration and Consultation are key components in becoming a successful practitioner and maintaining a healthy practice. I have years of experience supervising students, counselors, and therapists at levels of care including Residential, PHP, IOP, GOP, and private practice.
I believe Supervision is best practiced with focus on areas of education, training, pathology and assessment, case formulation, ethics and varied modalities.
Individual Supervision Rate for LCSW and LPC requirements in PA is $110 per hour session. Group sessions are available for 6 members in a 1.5 hour session. Group supervision is available only with an established group. Rates to be discussed based on setting.
